acetyl-CoA:N-terminal-Met-[tubulin] Met-Nalpha-acetyltransferase

The enzyme, characterized from the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster), acetylates the N-terminal of both alpha- and beta-tubulin. The enzyme acts cotranslationally, and can't act on a preformed tubulin alpha/beta heterodimer.
