2.4.1.B50	UDP-alpha-D-glucose + archaeol	the enzyme is involved in the biosynthesis of ether-type glycolipids. The sole sugar moiety of glycolipids and phosphoglycolipids in Methanothermobacter thermautotrophicus is a gentiobiosyl group [beta-D-glucosyl-(1->6)-D-glucose]. Synthesis of the glycolipids occurs in two steps: glucose is transferred from UDP-glucose to archaeol to form monoglucosylarchaeol, followed by a second transfer to form diglucosylarchaeol
